After spending a year working on Sweatshop Superstar and dealing with the sting of an App Store rejection, Lawrence Mascia and I decided to make a simple and completely inoffensive game for the App Store. Bumpin’ was designed to take advantage of a touch screen. You play by dragging your finger, which places pegs that trap and bounce a ball. The more the ball bumps around, the more potential points you earn.

With that simple system in place, we created four different versions of the game. The first was a series of levels that would challenge players with increasing difficulty. The other three levels were endless modes that were based on simple algorithms of increasing difficulty: Zen, Normal, and Painful.
